It's
been
awhile
since we
last
communicated.
Sophie
is just
a tad
over 17
mos.
She now
weighs
13+ lbs.
and I
have cut
back on
her food
because
she is
like a
cinder
block or
a tank.
Very
solidly
built.
She has
lost a
little
weight.
Reds
seem to
be more
solidly
built at
least
Sherry
was like
that and
now I
see that
Sophie
is as
well.
She is a
wonderful,
amazing
dog.
Bill and
I have
said
repeatedly,
if only
we were
younger,
we would
have
wall to
wall red
poodles. There
is no
other
color or
breed of
dog that
can interest
us.
Sophie
is a
true
braniac.
We are
amazed
daily by
her
command
of the
English
language.
I cannot
begin to
tally
the
number
of words
she
recognizes
and
responds
to.
In all
my years
of
grooming,
handling
and
living
w/dogs,
especially
a long
relationship
with the
Poodle,
she is
w/o a
doubt
the
smartest
dog I
have
ever
owned.
Of
course,
we live
in a
giant
playpen.
She has
toys in
the
living
room,
bedroom,
office,
dining
room and
kitchen.
Occasionally
even in
the bath
room.
She
continues
to talk
about
everything.
Nothing
goes
unnoticed
or
unannounced.
She
makes
all her
wants
made
clear to
me. And
believe
me I
must
shape up
and
respond
to her
demands.
Henny,
what is
your
secret?
You must
be so
pleased
to
received
these
glowing
reports
on your
puppies
now
grown
into
adulthood.
However,
there's
a little
joke
around
her
house
regarding
Miss
Sophie
whenever
she
steps
over the
line: "She's
only a
puppy
you
know?"
Anyway,
we thank
you
again
for
sending
this
wonderful
Poodle.
She is
intelligent,
loving,
feisty
and
lives to
play.
What a
great
dog to
come
home to
and to
wake up
to each
morning.
She
sleeps
happily
in our
bed. I
can tell
she is
growing
up
because
some
mornings
she
doesn't
get up
with me
but lets
me know
she
would
like to
sleep
in.
Hope all
is well
w/you,
your
family
and your
wonderful
Poodles.
Love
from all
the
Siscos.

Until
December
2006 our
family
consisted of
my wife, me,
and our 7
year old toy
poodle
Ginger. The
first week
in December
Ginger
became ill
and was
taken to the
vet who
diagnosed
her with
sugar
diabetes.
Although the
vet did his
best Ginger
died 8 days
later.
I knew
that Ginger
could never
be replaced,
but we would
need another
poodle to
fill that
sickening,
lonely void
that her
passing
left. I
didn’t have
a clue where
to start
looking to
find a
reputable
breeder, so
talked to my
vet. He
didn’t know
any but told
me a few
tips in my
search.
First
and foremost
look for a
breeder that
raises the
dogs as
family
members. If
you find
that the
breeder
keeps the
dogs in
cages, turn
around and
leave.
Second,
your sense
of smell
should be
the first
thing to use
when
visiting a
breeder. If
the house
has a
“doggie”
smell, turn
around and
leave.
Finally, ask
for the name
and phone
number of
the vet that
the breeder
uses. Then
call that
vet and talk
to them
about the
breeder.
In my
search for a
breeder I
turned to
the
internet,
and found
Henny’s
Poodles
among many
others.
First I was
very much
impressed
with her
website. It
states that
her poodles
are home
raised. It
also
includes her
vets name,
address, and
phone
number. Hmm!
It looks
like we are
off to a
good start.
I
called Henny
and made an
appointment
to visit her
home. Upon
arrival we
were met at
the door by
a very warm
and friendly
greeting by
Henny who
had a great
big
welcoming
smile on her
face. As my
vet had
advised, I
paid close
attention to
any
objectionable
odors that
might be
present.
There were
none! After
being shown
around I
could see
that there
were no dogs
in cages.
We had
a nice
cordial
visit, and
although
money was
discussed it
was not the
main focus.
By the time
we left we
had
obligated
ourselves to
two pups,
and felt
that we had
made a new
friend as
well. By the
end of
January our
pups were
old enough
to come
home. The
visit to
pick them up
was our
third visit
to Henny’s.
At no time
during any
of the
visits did
we feel
rushed. Each
visit was
genuinely
warm and
cordial.
Henny
displayed
love for the
pups she was
about to
send off to
a new home,
but said she
knew that
they would
have a good
home with
us, as any
of her
clients.
Each
visit left
my wife and
I in awe at
the almost
magical
control
Henny has
over her
animals. I
even told
her on our
last visit
that she
should have
a TV show
showing how
to train
dogs. She
softly talks
to them and
they listen.
She smiles
and says
that it is
like having
a house full
of 3 year
olds.
Henny’s
Poodles are
more than a
business;
her animals
are her love
and passion.
Because of
the love and
devotion we,
the
customers
benefit. I
have also
found that
she is
always
willing to
stop what
she is doing
to answer
questions
you might
have about
your pups
once they
are home.
My two
girls? They
continue to
grow and
change
daily. As
you would
expect from
a high
quality
Poodle Their
intelligence
is
unbelievable.
They are
very
friendly and
loving
companions.
They have
shown no
aggressive
behavior
toward
anyone or
anything.
The latest
thing that
we have
noticed is a
couple of
times they
have
demonstrated
that proud,
pompous
swagger that
you see in
show poodles
during
competition.
We will
never show
either of
these, but
it is neat
to see them
do that.
Although
Ginger is
missed and
memories of
her will
live on, the
void has
been filled
and our
family once
again feels
whole.

Dear
Henny,
I have been very
remiss not to
keep telling you
how much we love
our Boo. He is
the joy of our
life. We love
all our dogs, of
course; but he
is the
highlight. We
will complete
our move to OKC
from
KC in
May. Someday
soon, I would
love to have
another puppy.
You have touched
so many lives
that I know that
good Karma has
come back to you
tenfold. You
have certainly
brought joy to
our lives.
Sincerely,

Today, Miss Sophie is no
longer "just a baby",
she celebrates her first
birthday. However, to
me she will always be MY
baby.
She continues to bring
us JOY and HUMOR and the
most INTELLIGENT
behavior I have ever
observed in a dog.
Her color remains
vibrant as always; her
expression is perfect
with little black almond
shape eyes set apart to
indicate intelligence;
stunning black points
right down to the
toenails. Her face has
wonderful sculpturing
and her ear set is
perfect and heavily
fringed.
Bodywise: Her rearend is
good; topline excellent;
length of neck
excellent; front is
improving as her chest
fills out, and above all
her temperament and
courage is w/o question
astounding. Her tail is
almost always in an
upright position. If I
had to make her more
perfect than she already
is it would be a little
lenghtening of muzzle
and thinner behind the
jawline to the earset.
She is the perfect size
for us but if I wanted
to show her, she would
probably need at least
another inch of heighth.
She weighs 16 lbs. and
is approx. 12", just a
speck shorter than her
beloved sister Lotus.
I think I told you that
she has successfully
made the change from pen
at night to our bed.
She is a very good girl,
snuggles next to me
until she gets too hot,
then out of the covers
to the bottom of the
bed. She still loves to
talk to us and our house
looks like a playpen
w/her dozens of toys
everywhere.
How can we ever thank
you Henny for this
wonderful little girl
that we love so much.
I hope this finds you
and your family--humans
and poodles all well.
Love from the Siscos:
Bill, Pat, Lotus and

Dear Henny, I have been
meaning to write you for
some time. We just wanted to
let you know how much we
love our Toby. He is a part
of our family. I really
researched getting a dog. I
wanted a dog to be good with
children. Our daughter was
about 6 months old when we
brought Toby home (Jan,
2005). Toby is in love with
our children as well. He is
an indoor dog and talked us
into sleeping in our bed. He
actually goes from bed to
bed keeping watch throughout
the night. He "feels" it his
duty! He doesn't stop until
it is the last child out of
bed in the morning. This is
usually my 2 year old
daughter. As she begins to
stir, he barks his way down
the hall ( he rarely
barks...only if someone is
at the door) as if to alert
me...and telling me, "hey,
you need to come get her!".
He loves these kids.
Recently, all three kids
left for there Grandmothers
and I was at home with him.
I was so surprised to see
him moping to the couch to
take up his post to look out
the window to wait for them
till they came home. I was
surprised because he is my
baby as well, but he really
is attached to all of us.
I just wanted to let you
know. He is such a good
dog...thank-you!

I will send pics soon!
"We recently saw a beautiful silver female poodle at the Tulsa Flea Market. The owner gave us your name as the "best" for silver poodles. We currently have an aging white Standard and we have already decided that our next dog will be a silver poodle. We would love to know more about your poodles, especially the silvers."
Ron and Shelley Covey
"I love the new site! It looks fabulous. I especially adore the poodle in the wooden shoe. I have purchased poodles from Henny and they have the best personalities and dispositions. If you are planning to add a poodle to the family, you have found the right place."
Shari Wilder
"I have two Henny Poodles, Sir Alexander Aspen & Lady Abigail Rose, both are black toys. Abbie has lush gorgeous black hair and Alex has got excellant poodle hair. These are the highest quality dogs I've ever seen or owned. I had two whites before these. The price is high but I would spend it again for the quality in disposition and overall looks."
Lori Hickman
"I used Henny's stud service and was very pleased with her service. Not only was the sire handsome, but Henny was very helpful with advice and giving me written information on what to expect with my dam. I will highly recommend her to anyone who asks. I want to thank you, Henny for all the help and the continuation of help you have offered me. Thank You!"
Amy J. Jones
"Ms. Henny I can't think of the words to thank you enough for the angels you have blessed me with. They are an awesome and important part of our family. love Celeste, Isabelle, and Gabrielle"
Celeste Holloway
"After spending more than a month in time: 1. doing extensive research of poodle breeders' references throughout the United States, 2. viewing several litters online and in person, and 3. telephone interviews with the breeders who passed numbers one and two above, I chose Henny and her babies. We have been overjoyed by the quality of the pup we got from her. We could not have asked for a better quality dog according to both our vet's, as well as our, opinion. I had several objective and subjective questions that I asked each breeder. Henny was the only breeder that passed my rigorous exam. And she ACED it! Her "grade" is reflected in each of her quality pups. You can't do any better."

Think I sent you a photo
of Cayenne (Cay Cay) last
christmas! He is now a bit
over 2 yrs old.
Today I competed for the
first time in an AKC
Agility Trial at the Tulsa
Expo Center with him! We
have been training for
about 5 months.He loves
it! Hes a ham and loves to
show off! And he loves it
physically too! Everywhere
I go- ever since I've had
him- people stop me to say
how pretty he is! ANd I
actually met a woman-
Jennifer- who has a red by
Ricky like Cay only a year
older and different mama(
Jody was Cay's) - and we
recognized our breeding
from across the room! His
beautiful face and
conformation make him
stand out.
He is so even tempered and
easy going the chaos of
the trial doesn't even
faze him! We qualified
today -got our first leg
towards a title- and beat
the clock as well!
So glad we researched
things and finally
chose you and him in the
summer of 2003!
Will send you a photo
from the trial!

H i Henny! I
couldn't wait to send
you this picture. Baxter
(Cody) is an official
Delta Dog now. He was
evaluated in October and
passed all his tests
with flying colors. In
this picture he was
being read to by a 2nd
grader at Benton
Elementary. It's their
"Paws for Reading"
program. You were right
about Baxter being the
right temperament for
animal assisted therapy
- He's a real sweetheart
and everybody just loves
him. He finally stopped
growing at 17.5 pounds
- can you believe it?
That is a perfect weight
for what he does.
He's very huggable at
that size so he's very
good with the
handicapped children.
Thanks so very much for
Baxter, Henny. He's a
remarkable dog and we
love him very much.

I don't know how many
buyers have told you how
much they ADORE their
puppies. Miss Sophie is
almost 6 mos.--just 4 more
days.
She is completely
housebroken. She will
come and find me wherever
I am and tell me "I need
to go out." What I love
so much about her is her
ability to articulate
exactly what she wants.
She has different voices
for her needs. I always
know when she needs help:
to jump up which she has
yet to master, or recover
a dolly from a difficult
place, or jump down (she
can jump off of anything
providing she doesn't
think about it) etc. It
is amazing how intelligent
she is.
Her new thing is that she
is totally fed up with our
birdhouse wren family who
are about to vacate the
nest. Consequently the
whole family is screaming
their heads off. Sophie
has had it w/this noisy
display and looks up at
the birdhouse and jumps
and barks. Never had a
dog bark at a birdhouse.
She is so completely aware
of her surroundings.
Sleeping w/us is not
happening yet. I have
tried but she licks me ,
then Bill, then hassles
Lotus, then marches around
the bed. So off to her
pen at night. Actually
she doesn't mind this and
will often ask to go to
bed. So until she settles
down, sleeping int he big
bed is out for now.
We hope she never gets
over carrying things,
including her cookies,
around and barking softly
or muttering. Everyone has
to know that she has a
present. She was very
disappointed this
afternoon. The mail girl
came to the door for us to
sign a certified letter
and Sophie got a toy and
went to the door woofing
and muttering but the
woman had left already.
Sophie kept going back in
hopes she would come back
but of course she was
gone.
Well, anyway she is such a
happy, joyful little
creature that if I was
younger and richer, I'd
have more of these
beautiful reds.
Love from all the Siscos,
Pat
